An excellent museum for a whistle stop tour of Germany's history from the Romans to the Modern day. Both Interactive and Standard information plaques come in German and English. The subject of World War is dealt with consideration - I found the use of the silhouettes here to be very moving.

An excellent and comprehensive introduction to the entirety of German history. If you’re interested in visiting other German history museums, this is a perfect starting point, offering a solid foundation and deeper understanding of the country’s rich past, all presented in an engaging and informative way.

Modern establishment, plenty of interactive attractions, excellent story telling. Enough historic artifacts exposed as well. Neat, efficient, and strikes a fine line emotionally too.

Great museum! Everything is interactive and you can even make your own personal bookmarks which is really cool. Tickets aren't free but I think they are worth it because the museum is really well done.

This museum is so well done. My favorite of the day. It’s interactive and family friendly, but it’s not cheesy at all. Highly recommend!

It was pretty cool. Each period is clearly defined. There's no mistaken you're leaving one era for another. Nicely laid out with interactive points with quizzes, build your own song and even create your very own bookmark. The bookmark is free. It was a cloundy/rainy day and so it made for the perfect activity. Right outside you can dinf part of the Berlin Wall, with more across the street at the intersection. There is also the Berlin Mall. They also have lockers with chargers for all phone types. I was impressed by that. Overall a very nice experience that I would recommend and probably visit again. Enjoy

Very good and interactive history of the German people, and their history, very interactive to make learning fun

Great experience This was a completely immersive experience and took us through 2000 years of history in an always entertaining and informative way using multiple clever means from interactive displays, original period objects, music, sound archives and not least written commentary (the quiz questions were also for the very nerdy know it alls). The curators managed to cram in a huge amount of information during a two hour experience without it feeling like an onerous history lesson and by simply making me enjoy the experience. An absolutely must for those interested in the history of Germany but also of Europe and indeed ultimately the world which was a story often told in heartbreaking detail. My only complaint was there were not enough place to sit down for the frail and disabled. Go! And ENJOY…

An interesting and informative museum about the history of the German(ic) people over the past 2.000 years. We really enjoyed our visit to this museum!

Honestly it is an overrated one. It is very average museum with too much of digital information overload. You never feel that you are in past.

Really fun, immersive, and interactive. Would be really great for children and families but we were two adults and still enjoyed ourselves. Improvement could be to provide more in-depth information on the different time periods for those who are looking for more detailed explanations (maybe instead of the quiz screens).

This musuem if fantastic! Highly interactive and engaging for everyone. You can see it has been carefully thought out and it even captured my 13 year olds attention. You walk through different time periods Roman, Middle Ages, Reformation etc. There exhibits are immersive and use technology to give an overview of Germany's history.

Even though quite pricey for a student budget we really enjoyed ourselves. A great interactive exhibition. You dive into the different epochs of german history and learn a lot!

We were all adults visiting the museum, and it was awesome! Even the oldest ones were very excited. It satisfied all of our senses and was overall unforgettable experience. Thank you!

Toller Ort zu besuchen Wunderbarer Ort. So viel zu sehen und zu tun, mit dem breiten Bogen der deutschen Geschichte. Verschiedene Arten von Exponaten, informativ und einfach zu folgen. Ein guter Sinn für Humor!

Very interesting museum about the history of Germany displayed in a modern and interactive way.

Wirklich eines der besten Museen, in denen ich je war Wir hatten SO VIEL Spaß in diesem Museum! Es war wirklich immersiv und interaktiv, mit vielen Tests, Spielen, Fotomöglichkeiten und interaktiven Elementen (liebe es, mein eigenes Lesezeichen mit der Druckmaschine zu machen! ) Wir gingen an einem Dienstagnachmittag und es war ziemlich ruhig, was viel zu der Erfahrung beitrug, da es wenig bis gar keines der interaktiven Elemente gab. Würde sehr empfehlen, zu einer Spitzenzeit zu gehen, wenn Sie aus diesem Grund können, und weil es auch zu weniger beliebten Zeiten billiger ist! Toll, um Kinder mit Geschichte zu beschäftigen, aber ging mit zwei geschichtsliebenden Erwachsenen und wir alle hatten auch eine tolle Zeit!

Wonderful museum for kids and adults. Interactive, engaging and informative

It was surprising fun, I was afraid it would be more children oriented, but it's actually quite interesting for adults too, I would say even more so! They put so much effort in details and ambience, it's like walking through a movie stage or traveling back in time (some rooms even have a thematic smell, like wood, fireplace etc). I'm impressed. The WW2 part gave me goosebumps. The relevant information is smartly selected, condensed and demonstrated in a smart way and the gift shop has actually many interesting things, it's not just about overpriced chinese merchandise touristic junk 🙂 we had lots of fun today!

One of my favorite museums by far. It's well laid out and super interactive. Children aged from 6-13 loved it. Worth buying tickets before as they di not sell family tickets and on line is slightly less expensive.

Having decided to visit this museum was definitely worth it! Our guide was really nice and explained everything well. Exploring the rooms was like an adventure, which is fun for everyone. If you have kids, this might be an excellent option, because I assure you they won't be bored!

The best way I can describe this museum is a journey through a time tunnel. The setting changes according to the period making it very exciting for the kids. However the content of the interactive videos and panels is very informative and interesting also for the grown ups.

We had a great visit to the Deutschland Museum. Pros: -The staff were really friendly. The manager Duygu helped us sort out an error we made with booking the tickets - The location is near a mall and lots of other sites - The museum is interactive and provides lots of information without being overwhelming. This makes it good for both those with an interest and those with less interest in German history. Very happy with our experience.

If you are coming to Berlin for the first time, this is a good museum to know all the background histore before visiting the big museums in museums island. It puts things in perspective. I hope though there was more information about the role of women, and the colonization period which was a major aspect of its history.

This is such a great museum and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Berlin. The uniquely immersive nature of the museum makes it really feel like you're experiencing history firsthand - which is thrilling for history buffs like me! Every section of the museum features sights, sounds and smells that make you feel transported back in time. There are also hidden activities to look out for make the experience fun and interactive. It also explores parts of German history beyond 1933-1990, which is quite refreshing as well given there are countless other museums dedicated (arguably, rightly) to this period of history. Well worth €16.50 and a must-see!

Wonderful modern museum with projection mapping, decors and good storytelling. Definitely recommend visiting and learning about germany's history.
