This immersive experience means that learning is automatic for young and old alike: visitors do not need any prior knowledge.
An overview of 2000 years of German history in 4D
Taking the visitor on a journey through time, our exhibition combines the smells and sounds from past ages with historical artefacts and a range of interactive games for all ages, all set in realistic installations to recreate a captivating experience of the past.
Come with us and travel through 2000 years of German history: creep through a knight’s castle; use a reconstruction of Gutenberg’s printing press; find out how Martin Luther triggered the reformation of the church; dance in the Roaring Twenties; witness the destruction of Berlin in 1945; and experience the division of Germany, the fall of the Berlin Wall and German reunification. Brave time-travellers can walk through a total of 12 eras of German history.

The whole family can play at numerous interactive stations: complete the Kaiser’s outfit with new accessories, use artificial intelligence to research the origin of the German flag, find the burglar who broke into a 1920s pharmacy, trade on the black market and switch between East and West German television. There are games for all ages from six years upwards.
